Transmission Kodiaq 2.0 TSI? (updated engine)

Post by SkodiaqDK » Mon Apr 30, 2018 7:14 am

Hi

Does anyone know if the new 2.0 tsi engine with +10hp & particle filter will get a different gearbox than the DQ500 installed in the "current/previous" 2.0 tsi?

Maybe DQ381 instead?

(I hope not)

I am the first to admit I don't know everything.
My expertise really lies with classic cars and general knowledge regarding Fabias, Yetis and Kodiaqs.

I do know what most DQ numbers refer to (6 or 7 speed , wet/dry)
SO........Can someone with more knowledge than I have, please .........

Explain all the DQ numbers applied to DSG boxes and which model TSi,by engine bhp, TDi by engine bhp, 2 or 4WD. Has which box by DQ number.
I am sure it would be of use to those like myself who are unclear about such things.
I have trawled the internet for nearly an hour and can find nothing definitive apart from

https://axleaddict.com/cars/DSG-Transmission-Variants
and I am not sure if this is up to date.

And specifically.......for mine

2017 Kodiaq 1.4 ,148BHP 2WD 6 speed box.

I was told that this was a NEW 6 speeder NOT the old troublesome 02E/DQ250 Transmission.

Thanks.

Pretty sure it was the DQ200 that was a bit ropey. The DQ250 is solid as a rock apparently.

Thanks chaps.
I had read axleaddict before asking the Q. I posted here because he said the 250 had been updated but did not say by what. I have now asked him. If pertinent I will put his answer on this thread
Thanks again.
